The Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci, Circa 1503-1506

About
The Mona Lisa is one of the most valuable paintings in the world. Yet, it has its humble beginnings. When Leonardo da Vinci completed the Mona Lisa, it was not seen as his greatest achievement. In fact, it was probably the least famous out of all of his works. The Mona Lisa is only famous because it was stolen for over two years and simply taken off the wall by a museum worker. Since it was missing for such a long time, interest increased in the Mona Lisa, making it a priceless work of art today.
